When we decided to attend CES 2017, we struggled to determine exactly what we were going to watch out for. CES is the world’s largest electronic, IT and computer show in the world held once a year in Las Vegas USA. After much deliberations, and keeping in mind our core business mandate we agreed to watch out for cutting edge technologies in two main areas:
Internet of Things (IoT) technologies - were very dominant, several companies displayed their latest innovations enabling you to control your devices from your smartphone. There were many smart home, smart body, in fact “smart” anything devices you can think of. Smart phones have become the key to access the universe.
We were not looking for devices but the technology that make these smart devices work. There were very few and we found them.
Educational robotics - One of our core beliefs at enovationSR is to “catch them young”, by this we mean to introduce cutting edge technologies to students at an early age. We went to CES to discover what is trending in this field. Our children are the future, empowering them with a curriculum that engages them in coding and robotics is the way that insures their future is secured. We had the opportunity to discuss with an executive of OZOBOT an award-winning robot dedicated to STEM education that kids use in learning coding in a very playful and engaging manner. Visit our website to discover demonstration workshop we have done with this tiny robots and future workshops coming to a city near you.
Honeycomb:- We also spent time at the Honeycomb stand because they had innovative tools that were so engaging you will find it difficult to leave the stand. They had set of hexagonal connections you can connet to yourself or fruits and become a beating drum where you can beat up some musical tunes like a drum. Mostt impressive is the simple connections you can make to implement a IoT set up without writing a singlee line of code and be able to control events from your smart phone.
